KBS Wins Jury Trial in Copyright Infringement Action

On behalf of its well-known handbag designer client, ANUSCHKA Leather (www.anuschkaleather.com), and after a full jury trial in federal court in New York City, Michael Gilman and Jeffrey Kaplan of KBS recently obtained a jury verdict of copyright infringement. The jury found that Seventh Avenue, a competitor, had infringed upon ANUSCHKA’S copyrighted design for an artistic rendering of a peacock feather. The copyrighted and accused designs are shown here:
